Dear Loyal Readers: It’s been one of those weeks when you’re not sure where the time goes, but springing the clock forward seems to have sucked all the energy out of my solar-powered typing fingers. So I am taking a few weeks off—well, not really “off.” I have teamed up with an editor to try to turn “Rotten Romance” into a more marketable commodity, and that means I must abandon this Substack for a bit because there are only so many hours in the day.
So sweet the photo of you and "mom". You, looking demure and innocent with your kitty. Good luck with the publisher. I enjoy your memoir very much. I asked my mother the same question when I was in my mid twenties, her curt reply: " Of course not". which really came to me as a surprise.
“Excuse me, my dear boy I don’t believe we are related.”That made me laugh out loud. Your mother is fabulous. And you two look like twins. I will surely miss you during this hiatus, but I look forward to more and more and more. Love, Peyton.
Well, Mary was always right, but my mother was NOT always right! And I have a call into Dr. Freud right this minute. All good wishes for the next weeks!
Sounds like a great project! ❤️
Good luck, take the time you need and enjoy! Look forward to seeing you soon!
two thumbs up
Good luck o your new ventures!
Irene

It's only at a certain age that we gain that knowledge.... BTW--good news on Rotten Romance, good luck and keep us apprised.
She wasn't a virgin, clearly!

Wonderful parting (temporarily) anecdote, Ann.
