Peter and I have been vegetarian for easily 15 years. No regrets. Have discovered great food. Oh, and by the way, no problems with health etc. Turns out beans and rice make for a great protein dish, and there are legumes galore to explore, all of which are loaded with protein.
Always loved octopuses (sp?) as well as the Netflix documentary. Just sad that they have really short lives - about a year. I could never eat them because I just kept thinking about how they transformed themselves in such amazing ways and danced like I would like to be able to dance! And therapy: two long marriages and two bouts with therapy - good stuff, if you find someone wise with a sense of humor.
Re: psychiatrists you write about, brings back memories from the late 1970s and on. My first marriage was in many ways a disaster (ended very nastily) and my second have lasted but only because I could not face going through therapies and lawyers who hated each other. Enough said, I relate to what you write.
A fun joy to read. So good
UGH!! Hang in there.
Have a great holiday.
